What a week! We had triple digits all week, until today, and I must say the Lord was mindful of us because we had our Vacation Bible School Picnic. I don't think any of us would have survived it if we would have had to go out in the kind of heat we had experienced through the week. When I got up this morning (before the sun came up), it was already cool...almost cold outside. And even when the sun should have been out, it was very overcast. So I knew we would get a break in the heat wave--thank you Jesus! For those of you who may be wondering, our VBS was very good this year. It was different then other years, in that the programing was changed from the norm. It really made it fun and exciting, and everyone had such a wonderful time. The person over our programing really outdid her self, and all of the hard work and effort really paid off...even down to the picnic. We stayed later this year at the park, than any other year that I can remember--at least in a long time. And as tired as I was I still had energy to play tag with my lil grandson' and some of the other children that attended. I wish I would have got pictures...you'd have got a good laugh... course it made me laugh-by the mire fact that they tagged me and thought I wouldn't chase/catch'em! ( Not as half as fast as I used to be=but don't you tell'em!) SMH=Shaken My Head! (I had challenged some of the sista's to a race, but they didn't want to be showed up! :) NAW--not really, I think they were just plain tired! :( Maybe next year! Heehee--I'll be waiting! lol)
Well I started this post to show you my card that I made to give to the dear heart that spearheaded VBS for us. So here it is.....
TADAA!!
Here's more...
(Note: You can 'click' on the picture for a better view.)
I put an apple in the shot to show (somewhat) the color of the card. It's not orange tones but red's with browns. This is a very pretty dp that I found at Jo's.
This is the top of the card. I love this Spellbinders Label #2, the shape is so nice to accent with. You can see a little of the border in a darker brown under neath.
Below is an inside view of this card. It has a convenient place to write my sentiments. (oops, not a great shot; I was hurrying.
This designer paper is hard to see in my photos, but it is so gorgeous, there is a metallic bronze that does not show up in pics. But believe me it really sets the reds/browns off well.
I love how this card came out...hope you do too. Please feel free to post a commit, and let me know your thoughts on it.
Again, as always--thank you so much for stopping in. Tomorrow is Sunday-- Please have a very Blessed day. I'll be back first chance I get.
B-Blessed
Margie~
