WELCOME,

I have designed this site to bring a little piece of "Sonshine" to your life. I love making cards and others paper crafting projects. My real first love though is the word of God. Everytime I hear it, read, or meditate on it I find inspiration for my soul; hopefully I can share the joy that I find in the word of God with those who visit here. I am always comforted by this fact in knowing that the Lord has you/me in mind. His word says, "For I knowth the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end." Jer. 29:11

AWESOME VBS - Thank You...

Hi everyone,
What a week! We had triple digits all week, until today, and I must say the Lord was mindful of us because we had our Vacation Bible School Picnic.  I don't think any of us would have survived it if we would have had to go out in the kind of heat we had experienced through the week.  When I got up this morning (before the sun came up), it was already cool...almost cold outside.  And even when the sun should have been out, it was very overcast. So I knew we would get a break in the heat wave--thank you Jesus!  For those of you who may be wondering, our VBS was very good this year.  It was different then other years, in that the programing was changed from the norm.  It really made it fun and exciting, and everyone had such a wonderful time.  The person over our programing really outdid her self, and all of the hard work and effort really paid off...even down to the picnic.  We stayed later this year at the park, than any other year that I can remember--at least in a long time.  And as tired as I was I still had energy to play tag with my lil grandson' and some of the other children that attended.  I wish I would have got pictures...you'd have got a good laugh... course it made me laugh-by the mire fact that they tagged me and thought I wouldn't chase/catch'em! ( Not as half as fast as I used to be=but don't you tell'em!) SMH=Shaken My Head!  (I had challenged some of the sista's to a race, but they didn't want to be showed up! :)  NAW--not really, I think they were just plain tired! :(  Maybe next year!  Heehee--I'll be waiting! lol)
Well I started this post to show you my card that I made to give to the dear heart that spearheaded VBS for us.  So here it is.....
TADAA!!
Here's more...
(Note:  You can 'click' on the picture for a better view.)

I put an apple in the shot to show (somewhat) the color of the card.  It's not orange tones but red's with browns.  This is a very pretty dp that I found at Jo's.

This is the top of the card.  I love this Spellbinders Label #2, the shape is so nice to accent with. You can see a little of the border in a darker brown under neath.
Below is an inside view of this card.  It has a convenient place to write my sentiments. (oops, not a great shot; I was hurrying.
This designer paper is hard to see in my photos, but it is so gorgeous, there is a metallic bronze that does not show up in pics. But believe me it really sets the reds/browns off well.
I love how this card came out...hope you do too.  Please feel free to post a commit, and let me know your thoughts on it.
Again, as always--thank you so much for stopping in.  Tomorrow is Sunday-- Please have a very Blessed day. I'll be back first chance I get.
B-Blessed

Something Different...

Hi everyone,
I decided to try something different with the design  of this card.  Normally I wouldn't mix so many different patterns together, but why not?  It's good to get off the beaten trail every now and then--try something you normally wouldn't, just for the experience of it...And it helps to have friendly inspiration from other stampers.

The inside view
I really like these colors together.  Check out the detail on the dp even though the color is not typically fall colors, the leaves remind me of fall.  So I used a maple leaf punch to highlight the card in different places.
THE INSPIRATION...
Here is where I found mine...now this is really a beautiful card.  I love the soft blue-greenish colors, with the white.  So soft and lovely. I love this card by Leslie, hope mine does some justice.
Well, this week we start our annual VBS (Vacation Bible School). And what fun it is.  Every year (without a brag:) it's great!  We host ton's of kids and adults.  It's part of summer for us.  This year it a theme of Egypt and Joseph.  What spectacular victory we see in this story.  And one day every child of God will obtain a like victory too, from prison (bound in a world of sin - being in the world but not of the world); to living in a palace ruling and reigning in the kingdom!
Therefore, I press toward the mark-of the prize of the high calling...
Thank you for stopping in, hope you've had a wonderful day!  Until latr--
B-Blessed!

Blue Skies...

Hi everyone,
finally I'm getting another chance to post this card.  I was trying to do it on Sunday nite when I hit the wrong button and zapped it.  I couldn't seem to get my thoughts together to finish it -so four days later...  Anyhow, hope your having a great day.  It totally amazes me how fast the week fly's by!  I guess it's good that I don't have time to actually see it go so fast, but I thankful that there are points where I can slow down and reflect on how good the Lord has been to me, my family, and to all those who serve Him!  This card that I'm posting today takes me there--to a place of reflection upon His goodness.  The Quote says:  "Keeping you in thoughts and prayers".
My prayer for everyone today is: "That you will be strengthened, uplifted, and blessed, in Jesus name! ". Thank you for stopping here, I'm honored and grateful--B-Blessed!

'It Looks Like Fall'

Hi, this weather is something else.  Early in the morning it looks as though it might be turning cooler, with another season coming in but then...it gets hotter and hotter.  I'm not sure if I want summer to be over or not.  Even thought I love summer time, it gets so hot here, (I'm really not complaining, I luv California).  It is a beautiful quite day and, I've got a couple of hours to play, and I just took some pictures to post...hope they come out better than the ones I put up so far.
Since it's early in the day, I might get a chance to put something else up later on.  Check back.  Thanks for stopping by. Have a great Friday the 13th.
B-Blessed!:)

'Just To Say Thank You'

Hi there, I'm just check'n in today. Whew, it went so fast, it seems as though I didn't get much accomplished- just a lot of run'n around.  I've got a Family Reunion this week-end, so no rest for the weary.  But I'm looking so forward to it.  There's nothing like family.  Speaking of which; yesterday I mentioned that my lil' grands started Kindergarten. Well here are a couple of pictures.  These were taken after school, and they were very grumpy.  It was so hard to get them to even take a pic--until I bribed them; then they quickly conceded.  So here they are my lil' sweeties, Rhyse and Rhyan:)

They are four years old.  It had been quite a while since I've seen them this tired.  Usually they wear everyone else out--hee hee! They didn't know school was gonna be like this!! I couldn't even get them to SMILE or say CHEESE, but it was ok cause they are still the 'sunshine of my life.'
Anyways, here is a card for you.  Hope you like it--let me know!  Well get some rest, I'll check you later.

B-Blessed!

Ha-la-lu-ya'll

Ok --so it's not the best title, but that's how I feel.  I am so elated about being able is bring my blog up on the web-- I feel like praise'n Him!  Alright, I'm going to calm down. This has been quite an unusual day.  My youngest is now a 'senior' in high school, and this was her first day at school.  It just seems strange that this will be the last year of hauling kids to and from school.  But it's ok, I'm sure I'll get used to it after she graduates, (unless of course she gets her license before then, which is her plan).  But for me, I've come this far--why not go all the way?  right.  Yesterday she turned 17, (Woop, Woop! Happy Birthday Gracie!), we had a celebration after our Bible Study last night.  Sorry, I don't have any pics to show you, but I promise I will get better at this.  Oh yeah, and yesterday my youngest grands, (their twins) started Kindergarten.  It's been an amazing week.  I feel grateful to the Lord for allowing me to not only have wonderful children, but beautiful grandchildren.  THEY are one of the way's that He gives me sunshine:]

What's Up With The Verification Process?

Hi fellow blogger - not,
I'm having such problems understanding how to get this blog official.  Anyway, without a shadow of a doubt one day someone will read this and know that I was really serious about this and would not give up on having a live post.  So, the question may be ask, "am I pretending"?  No, I'm just waiting for the manifestation of this blog, because to me It's already real.
This is down time between Sunday services, so I thought I would check in, and write down a few thoughts.  Last week was such a challenge in so many ways.  But through it all I learned to just trust in the Lord, and lean 'not' to my own understanding.  This is the process of life...learning to depend on our Source to sustain us in all things.  If you never had any trials, you wouldn't see any growth in your life.  You'd never experience any victories.  You'd never know what it meant to overcome.  A trial is nothing more that a measuring stick for progress.  Big trials -- a lot of progress!  As for me, I've come a long way baby!
And you will make it through too.  Just don't give up!  It's so good to know that in the end - you're gonna win!
Thanks for stoppin in.  B - Blessed!

Bring Back Beautiful #1

The challenge to "Bring Back the Beautiful" is right up my ally.  This is the card that I made, and I think it fits the bill.  It is done in black and white, which is elegant and beautiful together.  My photography isn't that great, so the small detail is hard to see.  But real life commentor's lead me to believe that it is worthy.

Here's another view:

Hope you like it.

Monday - Monday

Hi everyone,
Just getting an opportunity to check in on my blog, and the day is already half gone- wow!  But you know what, even though my monday's always seem to fly by, when I reflect on the fact that "this is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it"; there is an obligation that we have to respond to His greatness in providing a time period in which we can -live, move, and have our being: meaning we have the opprotunity to "have hope".  But what is the proof that we acknowldge God for  providing us this day? The Hebrew words for "rejoice" and "be glad" have the same meaning: = to rejoice, be glad, joy, and exult. So what this verse is really saying is that We will REJOICE, We will REJOICE in it=this day, and the reason we rejoice is for the soul purpose of exulting the Creator of this day.  His name shall be praised!

First Post - Sunday

Hi, just wanted to put something on my page --it looks so empty.  So while I have a minute I thought I would check in.  Still don't have any pictures to post, but I'm working on it.
Sunday's are church day for my family.  My husband is a pastor and so that is a big part of my life.  I love what we do.  Our children also help in the ministry and are all active in church ministry.  I hope to also post some pictures of them.
We had an awesome concert this evening at church, featuring songs that were very popular years ago, hence the theme:  "Let's Go Back To The Old Landmarks".  The choir and guest soloist did wonderful job and really brought back the "sound of chuch from years gone by.  Which reminds me of how fast time apprears to be going.  It is so hard to believe that we are now in the month of August.  Letting us know that December is just aroung the corner -- uggh!  Well we might as well prepare ourselves, for this year will soon be over.
Hope you too had a wonderful day -- tomorrow holds new opportunities for something good to happen!
